SIX MEGA KEY DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

Please note: The 2009 pilgrimage week has been brought forward by one day. The pilgrimage now starts on Friday afternoon and runs to the following Saturday afternoon. You must be available for this entire period.
CRB (CRIMINAL RECORDS BUREAU) CHECKS
We are now required to CRB check all volunteers attending the pilgrimage. If you're not a criminal you shouldn't have any problems but it's imperative we complete the process. If you were not checked by us last year you'll need to attend our induction day on Saturday 30th May. We cannot let you come on the pilgrimage if you fail to complete this process. Please see our CRB FAQ section for more details.
THE LOURDES INDUCTION DAY
This year's induction day is on Saturday 30th May at the London Oratory School, Seagrave Road (nearest tube West Brompton) and will commence at 9.30am. We have a legal duty of care to teach you some basic skills and make sure you are safe to work in Lourdes. If you attended the day in 2008 you are exempt from this year's training. If you did not attend in 2008 you are obliged to attend this year. If you can't make the day we will require you to undertake extra first aid training at your own cost. Please contact us if you really can't make it.
TRAVEL
Please ensure you are available between Friday 24th July and Saturday 1st August. Your exact travel arrangements will be confirmed by email two weeks before departure.
Travel to Lourdes is by coach and by plane.
Outbound - Coaches departs Westminster Cathedral Friday 24th July. Flight departs London Stansted on Saturday 25th July.
Inbound - Plane arrives Stansted 31st July. Coach arrives Westminster Cathedral 1st August.
COST
The cost of the pilgrimage is £480. This includes flights, accommodation, all meals and a pilgrimage photograph. You will need some spending money for socialising during the week and any snacks.
We have a limited number of bursaries designed to help students that can't otherwise afford to come. This is designed as a self assessing bursary so we ask you to ask yourself if you really need it. A bursary from the OMV will subsidise your trip by £50 reducing the price to £430. To apply for a bursary please email sarah@omv.org.uk
